Dr Dharminder Nagar, Managing Director (MD) of Paras Health, has been appointed Co-Chair of the FICCI Healthcare Committee, strengthening the leadership of one of India’s most influential platforms shaping healthcare policy and industry collaboration.
Dr Nagar’s appointment comes at a time when India’s healthcare sector is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by increasing demand for quality care, expansion of healthcare infrastructure, digital health adoption, and renewed focus on affordability and access. In his role, his focus will include advancing digital and AI-enabled healthcare delivery, strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Tier II and Tier III cities, workforce capacity building, and supporting policy frameworks that enhance patient safety and affordability.
With over 19 years of leadership experience, Dr Dharminder Nagar has played a pivotal role in shaping Paras Health into a leading healthcare provider known for clinical excellence, patient-centricity, and operational efficiency. Under his stewardship, Paras Health has expanded its footprint across 8 hospitals in Gurugram(Haryana), Panchkula (Haryana), Patna, Darbhanga (Bihar), Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Udaipur (Rajasthan), Ranchi (Jharkhand), and Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir) across India, significantly strengthening access to quality healthcare. Under his leadership, the organisation has consistently focused on expanding access to quality healthcare while integrating innovation and global best practices into hospital management and care delivery.
Dr Nagar brings a strong global perspective to the role, backed by an Executive Management Programme in Healthcare Delivery from Harvard Business School, graduation from Singularity University, an MPhil from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), and an Advanced Diploma in Healthcare Management from Imperial College London. His experience spans healthcare strategy, governance, accreditation, and system-level transformation, aligning closely with the objectives of the FICCI Healthcare Committee.
In his new role, Dr Nagar will work alongside committee members to facilitate dialogue between industry and policymakers, promote best practices, and contribute to frameworks that support long-term growth and innovation in India’s healthcare sector.
